Abbey Road: Virtual Band

Service Description

In Virtual Band we will focus on four songs from Abbey Road. After the All Together Now presentation (included free with Virtual Band), you'll meet from 6:15 to 7:00 EST in groups of five students led by Cameron Greider or Jack Petruzzelli, to work on a group cover of each song. You'll be coached on musical skills to help you––guitar strumming rhythms, techniques for soloing or accompaniment, music theory, and more. Jack and Cameron will draw on their experience as recording and touring musicians and their study of the Beatles to help you deepen your insight into these songs. You'll also receive a GarageBand project with all the isolated tracks for the song, sheet music and tablature, and videos demonstrating how to play each part on the original recording. Participants will record their parts at home and send them in to be mixed for the final product. We'll spend two weeks on each song, for a total of eight weeks. Suitable for all instruments and voices, and experience levels from beginner/intermediate to advanced. If the two five-person sections fill up, we will open up more sections of Virtual Band on a different night of the week (All Together Now will continue to be on Monday from 5:30 to 6:15).
